Three Pathway Concepts
Built in Two Hours

At The CPD Exchange 2026, school leaders split into groups and each built a working custom Pathway from scratch, guided by an IRIS Connect team member. In under two hours, three Pathway concepts were live, each built around a real challenge from a real school:

  • Transition routines for a SEND team, with custom guides for highly specific classroom moments
  • Vocabulary analysis using the Freya model, including AI categorisation and a collaborative resource group
  • A coaching dynamic mapping the relationship between checking for understanding and responsive teaching

The induction lead emails weekly reading to ECTs. Mentors save meeting notes to a shared drive. Lesson observation forms sit in another folder. A spreadsheet tracks who has done what, updated by hand every Friday. When an ECT moves between schools in the trust, none of it travels with them.

One Bespoke Induction Pathway, Built Once and Reused Every Year

The full two-year ECT programme runs as a custom Pathway: weekly reading, mentor meeting prompts, scheduled lesson recordings, and structured reflections, all sequenced and assigned automatically. Completion data updates itself. The induction lead opens one dashboard to see every ECT's progress, and the same Pathway is reused for the next cohort with no extra setup.
