Our latest update to the Discovery Kit means you can now add a comment to your video as it’s recording!
We chose to use iPods as microphones for our latest version of the Discovery Kit because it opens up opportunities for you to interact with your video, as it’s recording.
Our newest feature allows you to add comments to your reflection whilst you’re still teaching. Saving you time when reviewing the video later on and focusing your reflection and feedback process.
There are two quick and easy ways to do this:
1. Shake to comment
Simply shake the iPod to insert a generic comment on the video’s timeline. Ideal if you want to quickly pinpoint an important moment in your lesson without having to type a thing.
2. Type a comment
If you want to be more specific and note a key interaction or event, you can type a comment and add it directly to the video timeline yourself.
How can you get hold of this tool?
If you have a Discovery Kit 6, which uses iPods as microphones, you just need to update the IRIS Connect app on your devices. To do this go to the app store on each device.
If don’t have a Discovery Kit with iPods as microphones then you’ll need to upgrade your kit. The Discovery Kit 6 brings improved audio quality, increased ease of use and automatic updates such as this one. Contact us to find out how to upgrade.
