Supporting schools with their distance learning

Moving to distance learning is not just a technical challenge

Since the widespread closures of schools as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak we have been working hard to address the challenges schools will face when rapidly deploying a distance learning capability.

Thousands of teachers across the country face the prospect of suddenly having to adapt to a new way of working. As a professional learning company with a long track record of engaging teachers in learning over distance, we believe we are uniquely positioned to support schools in this period of change.

Here’s how we can help you:

  • Share materials, worksheets and activities for students to access online
  • Students can comment on materials and engage in a dialogue with you, the teacher

Access the curriculum aligned National Lesson Bank

Many teachers have expressed interest in sharing their recordings with the wider IRIS Connect community. This is how you can contribute:

  • School leaders give permission for their teachers to participate

  • Teachers to anonymise, edit and tag their lessons against curriculum standards

  • Teachers share videos into the National Lesson Bank as a searchable resource for teachers in all IRIS Connect schools

  • Anonymised instructional sessions can be securely deployed to students via Student Groups
