A recent article in SecEd by Andy Newell, IRIS Connect’s Managing Director, explores the benefits of teachers working on collaborative lesson planning and how the use of video supports reflection and improvements in practice.
Andy discusses the need to gather data to reflect and evaluate objectively and use this to drive further improvement by providing enough teachers with access to the innovation. Solutions that educators have developed include Japanese Lesson Study and the use of mobile video technology such as IRIS Connect to provide schools with re-useable learning resources to support the iterative process of improving practice.
